Agia Galini of Rethymno is a coastal village and port of the former province of St. Basil in the prefecture of Rethymno, Crete. Agia Galini is located in the Southeast coast of the prefecture, next to the Libyan Sea, in the limits with Heraklion perfecture, at an altitude of 10 m, it is built amphitheatrically on the east side of the rocky edge, having so great environment and a wonderful climate.
It is 58 km from Rethymno and about 68 km from Heraklion.
The weather is always very mild, which makes the beaches ideal for swimming. Although the area is not well developed on the eastern coast, which is called Lihnists, there are a few rooms, tavern and umbrellas.
