The Kokkini Hani is a coastal village in the province of Pediada, in Heraklion. It belongs to the Municipality of Gouves and it is one of the villages that form the municipal district of Anopoli. it is located on the 14th kilometer of the main road to Lasithi, in Vathianos Kampos area. In the center of the village there is the church of Agioi Anargiroi, founded in 1938. In the area there are many beaches, protected by small artificial piers, where waves break.
The beaches are sandy and have shallow blue waters. Most beaches are situated in front of the many hotels of Kokkini, but access is possible for everyone. The area is full of shops and restaurants, and all the beaches are well organized with umbrellas, lifeguards, water sports and the tourist infrastructure. The nightlife in Kokkini Hani is not particularly exciting, especially compared with Malia and Hersonissos.
