Paleochora is located 77 km south of Chania in the southwest of Crete. It is built on a long, narrow peninsula stretching into the Libyan Sea and offers, among other things, a different beach every side -sandy west, pebbles in the east. Paleochora is an area of great charm, an area so gifted, reasonably called the Libyan Sea Bride or Bride of Western Crete.
The beaches of Paleochora are considered among the best in southwestern Crete. It is an unspoilt coastline that stretches 18km away from the city.
